Background & Objectives: Different cultivation methods of rapeseed and the use of planting machines have a significant impact on its germination, emergence, and yield. Therefore, the present study was designed to compare the response of different rapeseed genotypes to various sowing methods and increase the resource efficiency.

Materials & Methods: The research was carried out in two growing seasons )2020-2021, 2021-2022) using a split-plot experiment based a randomized complete block design with three replications at Panbezarekti village in Sari. The experimental treatments included four sowing methods: hand broadcasting (HB), mechanical broadcasting (MB), transplanting (TR), and row planter (RP) in the main plot, and four genotypes including Trapper, Hyola 50, Pioneer, and RGS003 as the sub-plot.

Results: The highest amount of stem diameter, plant height, number of secondary branches, pod length, number of pods per plant, seed number, and weight per pod were related to the Pioneer genotype and RP. Additionally, the highest seed yield (3633.33 and 3566.67 kg/ha) and oil yield (1312.50 and 1260.50 kg/ha) were associated with the Pioneer genotype using RP and TR, respectively. Moreover, the Pioneer genotype had the highest oil percentage across all sowing methods, with 34.28%, 34.58%, 36.11%, and 35.33%.

Conclusion: Overall, the highest yield attributes of genotypes were obtained from RP. Furthermore, the Pioneer was the best genotype in all traits, while the RGS003 genotype had the lowest yield. After repeating the experiment and confirming the results, the Pioneer genotype can be recommended to be planted using a RP for increasing yields.

</Abstract>

</OtherAbstract>
