In order to identification of fruit flies of the tribe Terellini in Ajabshir region, a survey was conducted during 2009- 2011. In total, thirteen species belonging to four genera were identified which all are new recorded for the studied area and <em>Chaetorellia jaceae </em>Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 is newly reported for the Iran insectfauna. Identification keys to genera and species are provided. All the identified species are as biocontrol agents of the asteraceus weeds.
