Abstract

Background & Objective: The aim of the research is to investigate suitable food solutions to obtain suitable quality and suitable physiological characteristics. Therefore, in this research, the effect of different nutrient solutions on some physiological characteristics as well as the qualitative characteristics of two pepper varieties (Dimaz and Californiawander) under hydroponic conditions was investigated.
Methods & Materials: In this experiment, the effect of four types of nutrient solutions (Hoagland 1, Hoagland 2, England and Knop) with 3 replications on two cultivars (Dimaz and Californiawander) was investigated as a factorial experiment in the form of a randomized complete block design. Traits related to physiological characteristics (chlorophyll index, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium leaf concentration) and quality traits of pepper fruit (fruit length and diameter, TSS, fruit EC, titratable acidity and vitamin C) were investigated.
Results: According to the results, it can be said that Dimaz cultivar has the highest total soluble solids (TSS) and pH. The highest chlorophyll index (49.5 spad units) was obtained in Hoagland 1 treatment. The effect of treatments and cultivars on leaf nitrogen concentration was significant, so that the highest amount of nitrogen in the treatment combination of Dimaz variety with Hoagland 1 (3.2 mg/g DLW) and Hoagland 2 (1.3 mg/g DLW) and Californiawander variety with Hoagland 2 (3.15 mg/g DLW) was observed. .
Conclusion: According to the results, England nutrient solution with a favorable effect on some qualitative characteristics was introduced as the most suitable nutrient solution for pepper cultivation in our experiment.
