This experiment was performed as a split plot based on design of complete random blocks in three repetitions on the farm of Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Mohaghegh Ardabili university. The first factor included two varieties of corn 704 and 706, and the second factor included fertilizer sources such as urea fertilizer, New-agro organic fertilizer, Bio-zar and humic acid. Various agronomic traits, yields and grain yield components were studied. Results of variance analysis showed that the effect of cultivar on the exception of leaf greenery index and ear diameter on other traits was statistically insignificant. However, all traits, including plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, number of seeds per ear, weight of one thousand seeds, grain yield and biological yield, were significantly affected by fertilizer resources. The interaction effect of fertilizer-cultivars on the trait of ear diameter had a significant effect on the probability level of five percent. The highest plant height and the highest number of leaves, without significant statistical differences, belonged to urea fertilizer and new-agro fertilizer. The 704 hybrid cultivar had the highest leaf greenness index. The application of urea and new-agro fertilizer caused the highest grain yield.
In general, in this experiment, the yield of corn grain with the use of new-agro fertilizer was almost equal to that of urea fertilizer, so this fertilizer can be used as a suitable alternative or in combination with urea fertilizer in cultivating these cultivars.
