Introduction and objectives: The aim of the study was to identify the effects of urea, zinc and manganese fertilizers and polyamine foliar application on yield and its components and wheat grain quality.
Materials and methods: This research was carried out as a randomized complete block design with 7 treatments in 3 replications in Serin Dizaj village, Esko city, East Azerbaijan province, during the agricultural year (1398-1399). Fertilizers and methods used are: urea top dressing, urea foliar spraying, zinc sulfate foliar spraying, manganese sulfate foliar spraying and polyamine foliar spraying and a combination of these fertilizers in different stages of wheat plant growth, including: the beginning of the zinc stem, the beginning of spike, complete spike and completion of spike, and the traits affecting yield, yield components and wheat grain quality were investigated. The seed used was a pioneer variety.
Findings: Fertilizer treatments had a significant effect on the height of plants, number of fertile tillers, peduncle length, flag leaf length, spike length, thousand seed weight, seed yield, biological yield, harvest index, carbohydrate seed percentage and seed protein percentage.
Conclusion: T7 treatment (urea fertilizer in two stages + foliar spraying of polyamine and zinc sulfate + foliar spraying of urea and manganese sulfate two weeks later) resulted in the greatest increase in plant height, number of fertile tillers, peduncle length, spike length, grain yield, protein percentage. Treatment T6 caused the greatest increase in the length of the flag leaf and was also superior in terms of both quantitative and qualitative characteristics.
